Hollywood starlet Jeremy Haccoun joins our roster of talent!

Jeremy Haccoun is signed to CAA in L.A for feature films, he is now back to share his incredible artistry with us here in adland.

Jeremy’s recent work includes his cinematic commercial campaign for chinese phone company OPPO, which stars one of Hollywood’s A-list actors, Leonardo DiCaprio. As well as “the world’s most interactive film” he made for Subaru, which won a Spike Award.

Jeremy is truly one of a kind and has been devoted to developing his craft from a young age. He began at the age of 11 making short films from a VHS camcorder he borrowed from his father’s shop. So there no surprise that he directed his first TV spot at 21 years old and earned himself his first million-dollar budget at the age of 24.

His two short films Alchemy, an adventure epic and The Battery won numerous awards in his native France, before getting a national release in french theatres during his youth.

“Honors the very best of Steven Spielberg” - Indiewire

Jeremy’s recent short film Beyond is inspired by the early Spielberg films. It’s an epic adventure short about a boy turning into a hero to rescue his parents from a burning wreck. The short was screened at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and received praise from industry press.

Jeremy has attained a lot of experience over the years in large-scale shoots which include A-list talent, incredible performances and FX heavy post-productions which is apparent in his work.

A director like Jeremy brings exciting opportunities to The Visionaries clients in both commercials and longer form branded content.

Johnny Han writes, directs and produces Crypt TV's 'Terra'

Creative visionary Johnny Han has added another masterpiece to his impressive and diverse repertoire.

Han, a multi-Emmy award-winning director and creator, has recently created a short horror film commissioned by Crypt TV, a well-renowned entertainment company backed by Jason Blum known for “distributing horror themed digital content.”

Han wrote, produced, and directed the short film “Terra,” about a Mother Nature incarnate that possesses the elements and takes revenge on those who have wronged the earth. Released only a little over a month ago, the video has racked up over a million views in its first week in its Facebook release, and now has over 800,000 views on YouTube.

“Terra” is just the latest addition to Han’s ever-growing list of works. Han first made a splash in the industry through his VFX work, lending his unique touch to blockbusters such as 2012, Star Trek: Into Darkness, and Pacific Rim. He’s also won two Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on the TV show, Heroes, as well as a Daytime Emmy last year for his work in, Lost in Oz.

In the past few years, however, Han has started to cross over into live-action directing, primarily working on commercials and the occasional music video. A few notable works include spots for Jaguar, McDonald’s, and the Ghost in the Shell game. Recently, Han shot an ad for Philips Shavers X Star Wars limited collection.

Regarding his shift into directing, Han says that while he will always love VFX work, directing has given him “a more expansive creative playing field to truly dream up stories that go beyond pixels on the screen.” To Han, all the higher stakes are “hands down worth it” when considering his “opportunity to affect people.”

Han states that commercials were perfect to dive into live-action directing since it involves the “same production professionalism” as VFX, involving the ability “to objectively understand [the] client’s intentions… [while] at the same time injecting just enough of [his] own personal creative fervour into the process.” Describing this skill as “the most valuable thing [he] learned in 18 years of VFX,” Han appears to be applying it perfectly to his current works.

A quadruple-threat, Han’s just beginning to show us all the tricks he has up his sleeve.

Sye Allen Directs Dreamy New Spot For Pol Roger

Director Sye Allen's new spot 'A Duty To Delight' is all about capturing the nostalgia of endless summers days. Shooting for Pol Roger, Sye highlights the effervescent quality of those long summers, whilst of course drinking champagne.

Speaking on the shoot, Sye had the following to say. 'We shot it in September in the UK which is always a risk, especially on this occasion given the content of the film… But it paid off. I wanted to create a mystical atmosphere where all the elements of a perfect celebration come together, and it’s the effort we see going into this moment that really ties in with Pol Roger’s brand identity.'

Screen Shot 2017-11-22 at 11.36.14.png

Speaking on the creative process: 'It wasn’t about individual characters, it was about creating a clear character for the piece as a whole. Working closely with my cinematographer Sam Care we developed a visual language for the film, deciding to use uncoated master primes and a series of crystal diopters, which gave us loads of characterful internal reflections and allowed us to hide information when we wanted to, in a stylish & ethereal way.'

On working with the brand: 'Working with Pol Roger was a great experience, once the monitors were up each image sold itself, which was a reflection of the amount of homework we’d done prior to shoot day. We managed to achieve a great deal in a very short amount of time and even afforded ourselves a little wrap party as the sun was finally disappearing, drinking Pol Roger obviously. Mr Churchill would have been proud.'

Johnny Han Directs Slick NFL Spot

Johnny Han has directed a new spot for NFL Game Pass. The new ad shows off the amazing plays that the NFL has to offer in a variety of different scenarios. You can watch the NFL anywhere thanks to Game Pass and Johnny has really emphasised this in his new spot.

Johnny brings the excitement of the game into the forefront of the ad by imposing the game on the environment around the people watching it. Demarco Murray scores a touchdown on a train, Randall Cobb catches a ball on a building and Dak Prescott gets a touchdown in the trees. You'll know what I mean when you see the ad. Johnny really demonstrates his capability of directing with VFX and it certainly makes for an interesting spot!

The quirky project has the characteristics of a short indie film, with its vibrant colours, soothing soundtrack, and crisp jump-cuts that flick our protagonist through a diverse selection of vintage gear. It’s also a film that showcases Felipe’s talent for storytelling and pays homage to an era of silent movies where engaging stories were told through larger-than-life characters.

Felipe delivers the droll and the dynamic, and all without a single line of dialogue!

The Queen create edgy urban spot for Acer!

The Queen's new spot for Acer is one for the creative souls.

The cool, urban doco follows Exmag, a soulful electronic dance production group with a modern hip-hop edge, as they gear up and sample the sounds of London. Taking inspiration from the world around them (quite literally), they record kick-flipping skateboards slapping to the ground, police sirens wailing in the distance, motorway traffic, and even the odd bursting balloon. They bend the rules, defy genres, and do all that it takes to bring something different to their music.

Meticulously edited scenes combine to create an edgy collage of urban London that's oozing with style. It's a campaign for the creatives. It's a campaign for the culture.
