Visionaries-repped director Remi Laudat directs new CBBC series ‘Stage Stars’

Remi Laudat brings his distinctive blend of energy, empathy, and cinematic storytelling to Stage Stars, a brand-new series launching on CBBC and BBC iPlayer from Monday 13th October.

Produced by Drummer Television for the BBC, Stage Stars takes viewers inside Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, one of the UK’s leading performing arts boarding schools. The series follows young performers aged 7 to 19 as they balance intense professional training with everyday school life, capturing the highs, heartbreaks, and hopes of Britain’s next generation of stage talent.

Remi began his creative journey as a ballet and contemporary dancer before transitioning into filmmaking, a shift driven by a deepening passion for visual storytelling. His background in movement continues to inform his directorial style, and allowed him to tell this story with empathy and authenticity.

Remi had this to say about the project:

“Proud to say I’ve been working on this for over a year now. My first TV series as a series director. Get your kids, nieces, nephews, cousins to watch it. Really grateful to work on a project that gives back to one of my first loves, dance and the arts.”
