Adu’s latest work was the first episode of Crossing Cultures, a new docu-series from whatsapp. The series explores how diaspora communities around the world create a sense of home and connection to their culture. In this episode Adu directed we visit the vibrant Nigerian community in Peckham.
Adu had this to say about working on the project - “As a filmmaker with a passion for storytelling, directing two episodes for WhatsApp's docu-series Crossing Cultures was a natural fit for my experience in format-driven content. As a Londoner, it was also a great opportunity to celebrate local stories and put my lens back on my hometown.”
Adu brings his authentic brand of filmmaking to the project, capturing the lives of the people in front of camera in a natural and compelling way.
