Vera’s first film sets were shot with an old VHS camera and belonged to a doll's house her father built for her. Her mother’s bookcase had an insane number of strange characters, and the more complex they were the more they challenged her to understand intricate people’s minds and motivations.

Later she graduated in film in Lisbon, and after it she decided to go to the Cuban Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV, founded by Gabriel García Márquez, where she specialized in Film Direction, directed her first short film and had the opportunity to learn and talk with directors such as George Lucas and Emir Kusturica.

She found the overwhelming strength of simple things in life and learned profound lessons from heartfelt people. These learnings made her understand how to tell a story in a meaningful and unique way, opening her eyes in unimaginable ways.

Vera had the opportunity to Direct Commercials for brand such as L’oreal, Unilever, Adidas, RoonLAbs, Vitalis, Rowse, World Trade Center, LIDL, among others. Also fashion films and videoclips.

Searching for inspiration in what surrounds her and with a really strong sense of awareness and sensibility, she has a unique way of telling a story and bringing new angles to an ever-changing world.

Vera is now based between Lisbon, London and New York, working worldwide.
