Joana strives for a space of trust and focus, working closely with talent to craft authentic, emotionally grounded performances. She’s open-minded and creative whilst having a rigorous eye for composition, pacing, performance nuances and sound design. Her commercial portfolio includes campaigns for brands such as Nestlé, Hinge, and Compal.

She began her career directing music videos before expanding into documentary and narrative work. Joana has directed several short films and is currently developing a fiction feature she wrote. She’s also in post-production of a feature documentary.
