DAVE BULLIVANT
DANCE | MOVEMENT | MUSIC VIDEOS
Dave Bullivant pushes the limits of the image by making innovative and impactful films that visually strike us. His zooming and rotating camera movements capture the beauty of the speed of life; this rhythm and dynamic movements make his films immediately identifiable.
He mixes what is classic with the unexpected using experimental techniques, an approach that translates into the world of advertising as well as clips and allows him to create captivating films that stand out from others.
His Kerala clip for Bonobo, the British DJ, is a perfect example of this characteristic style. Both directed and edited by Dave, this dizzying film embodies his attention to detail, precision and ability to create intense and chaotic visuals. He caused a sensation not only online, where many people tried to find every hidden surprise (like floating rocks), but he also won several awards including a Creative Circle Gold Award and a Ciclope Gold Award.
His expertise in the world of advanced technology also gives him a remarkable ability to approach realization with a new perspective. His clip for London Grammar, Wasting My Young Years, is the embodiment of this originality. Shot in 35mm with a "homemade" camera of 625 "pinhole cameras", exhibited at the same time, this film clearly highlights its creative gifts, its technical and artistic vision. He won the Best Alternative Video award at the UK Music Video Awards and was also chosen for Nowness' Short Film Showcase and Le Book.
Dave's portfolio highlights his talent and experience with many renowned customers in the world of advertising and music video, including: BMW, Nike, Three Mobile, Farmdrop and Canyon.
