Claire is of British-Persian heritage and comes from a family of filmmakers so film making is in her blood. As an eternal daydreamer, she has been lucky enough to bring her playful, stylistic ideas to TV screens full of charm and wonder, winning two BAFTAS and numerous awards along the way. Her experimental style seamlessly blends VFX and film and bends into many genres, from kids to sport, drama to comedy.

She made her first short film whilst on maternity leave which was officially selected at Norwich Film Festival and LIFF. During Covid she volunteered with Media Trust and directed a charity advert / short film, Bud for the nature-based mental health charity Mindfood which has gone on to win Silver at The Charity Film Awards and officially selected at Aesthetica Film Festival. Bud has continued to receive further accolades at The Shiny Awards for winning Best Under Represented Director 2023.
